1031 Exchange, One of the Last Tax Shelters
Dec 2010 California Median Prices
Median home prices contained in this chart were generated from DataQuick Information Systems. The price statistics are derived from all types of home sales — new and existing, condos and single-family. Movements in sales prices should not be interpreted as changes in the cost of a standard home. Median prices can be influenced by changes in cost, as well as changes in the characteristics and size of homes sold. Due to the low sales volume in some cities or areas, median price changes may exhibit unusual fluctuation.

C.A.R. and DataQuick routinely track 33 of the 58 counties in California. The following 26 counties are not included in this report: Alpine, Amador, Butte, Calaveras, Colusa, Del Norte, Glenn, Humboldt, Imperial, Inyo, Kings, Lake, Lassen, Mariposa, Mendocino, Modoc, Mono, Plumas, Sierra, Siskiyou, Sutter, Tehama, Trinity, Tuolumne, and Yuba. What you should know about Homeowners Insurance
‥ Homeowners insurance is not only required to obtain a mortgage, it also makes sound financial sense to cover homeowners’ valuable assets. It is important that homeowners take the time to read through their homeowners
insurance policy to understand what is covered and what, if any, coverage needs to be added.
‥ Standard homeowners insurance, known as HO-3, protects the property against damages and provides personal liability coverage. Certain natural disasters are not covered under a standard policy. A typical homeowners insurance
policy covers the home and personal property against damage from fire, lightning, tornadoes, and hurricanes. HO-3 insurance covers losses due to theft, riot, and vandalism, as well as damage due to frozen plumbing, heating, and air
conditioning systems.
